Week 12: If iMovie, Does it Come Before C?
Okay, I now officially know that I cannot be a single father. . .I have spent the better part of the last two weeks either chasing my children around or trying to get ready for school. . . dealing with hamster bites, cat snot, and two daughter who love each other, but don't necessarily like each other at the current moment. . .
Why do I tell you this? Well, other than my own general neurosis, I tell you because I have accomplished nothing in terms of grading past assignments. . .I vow to get everything graded by next week. . .or die trying.
This week we are going to learn how to use iMovie. . .it is not the movie project, but an assignment designed to ensure you can all use this software to edit movies. . .because if you can do this, you CAN make a movie.
This week's Question: What was the funnest thing (most fun for my English teachers) you did in the last two weeks?

The funnest thing I did was take my step children to the beach. My three year old daughter has had a rough two months and she finally came out of her shell and had a blast!

ReplyDeleteMy friends and I snuck into the game reserve at the wild animal park and chased the elephants around with cattle prods. Then we attempted Rhino tipping, but they were to heavy to move. I did get the opportunity to ride a Giraffe for a bit; when it came by the tree I had climbed in I jumped on it's back. The water buffalo are mean... leave them alone!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, Ok ... I did nothing fun over the break; just worked. Sweet story though huh? :)
I spent the week with my nieces and nephew who were visiting from Chicago. Disneyland, Legoland, etc...it was fun.
ReplyDeleteWe saw monsters vs aliens- very cute funny movie! I would definitely recommend it
ReplyDeleteI got to go engagement ring shopping with my boyfriend, so I guess that's kinda fun. =)
ReplyDeleteWe went indoor rock climbing!!!! It was awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteI went to Chicago with my family...it was cold but fun!
ReplyDeleteI went to a wedding on a yacht in Newport Beach Harbor with friends I haven't seen in awhile... that was fun. Not having to go to class in fun too =)
ReplyDeleteI did homework all break . . NO fun!
ReplyDeleteWent down to San Diego for my birthday. My parents brought the boat and docked at the Marriott marina for the week. My hubby and I and friends went out Saturday night, and stayed in the Marriott and the baby stayed on the boat. We had a blast going to the Zoo and Coronado, and shopping in the Gaslamp during the week. We also hit the Carlsbad Flower fields on the way down. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I went camping at Joshua Tree. It was RAD: sleeping on the ground, eating s'mores, and climbing giant rocks!!!
ReplyDeleteThe funnest thing I did during break was..... jury duty! okok, not so fun...
ReplyDeletereally, the funnest thing was probably the Wii bowling tournament with my family - which got super competitive. And, I got my highest score of 222, where bowled 6 strikes in a row! It's called a "six-pack" for those of you who haven't gotten to the pro stage yet ;)
Swam with Turtles! Whalewatched! Drank Lava Flows! Sunbathed! Slept! Read! Relaxed! Need I say more!!
ReplyDeleteI relaxed and went for a fun hike.Weeee!
ReplyDeleteHad friends over for a BBQ and laughed till we cried while watching their toddler "shriek-giggling" at our dog chasing bubbles on the patio....
ReplyDeletewent to dinseyland!!!!!!!! dat was de funnest.
ReplyDeleteFun?... Well, let's see. . . In the past 2 weeks I've lost internet access at my house, started a new job where I've been stressfully trying to learn everything there is to know about running an entire copy and print center (plus UPS shipping), and found out that I have to get my car smog tested AGAIN this year before I can get my new registration. . . But I digress. All of the unfortunate circumstances aside I had a fabulous Easter Sunday - complete with an awesome meal of spicy beer can chicken (it's delicious, ask me for the recipe!) - and some quality time with family. I ended my Easter Sunday night watching BOLT with my fiance and my parents (cute movie!) Frustrations of life sure make you appreciate and cherish the good times!
ReplyDeleteI had a tag teamed garage sale, went to Disneyland with Ashley, attended three Easter egg hunts with my son, and moved to Huntington Beach in a day.
ReplyDeleteAbout two weeks ago, Tom and I took a trip to Lake Tahoe. We stayed right on the beach of the Lake. It was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI went to Catalina Island for the weekend and enjoy the quiet and relaxing feel of the island.
ReplyDeleteI had a great break! I went to Vegas with 2 other families and had dinner at the Haufbrau German restaurant, complete with Jagermeister shots! We stayed at a beautiful house overlooking Lake Mead that our friends own (with a pool).
ReplyDeleteI got to sleep in.
ReplyDeleteI spent some quality time with my family for Easter.
ReplyDeleteThe most fun thing.. I went out with a coworker last week and after Hensley's closed we went with some of her friends down to the Carlsbad Lagoon and they happen to run all the water recreation stuff there so at midnight we were out on a boat racing around the lagoon!
ReplyDeleteThe most fun thing I did was grade senior essays and cover letter....yeah, right.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, my Golden and my Pug were chasing their tails concurrently!! (You had to be there!)
The funnest thing I did was survive a car wreck where no one was seriously injured!
